| I visited this pub with my mother on 3/8/2010. arrived 1730,(table 23) ordered food within 5 mins.we waited for our meals until 1810. i decided to have the 16oz sirloin steak. only to be told they had run out of sirloin steak so i decided i would have rump steak, only to be told they had run out of that also as they were starting a new menu tommorrow (wednesday)....so i had a mixed grill.i cannot beleive that the new menu would not have sirloin or rump steak on it The sausages were 'just cooked and had not browned, the chips were cold and chewy, the egg was done to death. and to top it all i got my meal before my mother who had to wait another five minutes for her fish n chips,i asked one of the table ladies where mums meal was, she said she would go and find out where is was, and as she went through one door a girl came out of the other door with the meal. mum said the fish was nice but the batter was very dark, not burnt though.....possibly an oil change is in order here. only two peaople on the bar to take food orders and serve all the drinks to the customers also. my sister and brother in law think this pub is great for its pricing of food, but quality comes first. i live in east sussex and only have monthly visits to my mothers and we will not be visiting this pub again.....[Report for Removal] | brian hall etchingham east sussex |
