| We turned up about 7 on a Saturday Evening and were very lucky to get a table. 15 mins later was at least 3 groups of people waiting for tables. So should definitely book. Pub is lovely, staff courteous and quick. However, food wasn't as good as we thought it would be - the steak and ale pie was particularly bland with very strange pastry. Would give it another go to see if we have better luck with the food.[Report for Removal] | Cas Simmonds Crawley Down West Sussex |

| We were turned away at 6.30 Saturday evening, and told there were no tables available - we should have booked, or we could eat quickly and be out by 8.00. We had a visitor with us who is disabled, and we were only 3 in party. The attitude of lady behind bar was rather abrupt and unwelcoming and our disabled visitor felt upset that perhaps her walking stick was the problem! Although some tables had reserved sign on there were several that did not and it all seemed rather strange. We have eaten here many times in the past and never had a problem getting a table.
