| I went to eat at the Bull for the first and only time I shall add, a few days after new year for lunch.I heard it had been refurbished and was curious to check it out having previously been to the boot Inn also in the village. The decor was country although bordering on tatty there didnt appear to be any heating, no cosy log fire so we had to sit with our coats on for most of the time. The staff were few and far between. However we were keen to check out the country menu.I had the vegetable stew, expecting a warm broth and crusty bread only to receive what looked like roasted veg two stale bits of bread. My mum ordered the lancashire hotpot when received looked like boiled ham, leeks and undercooked bolied potatoes..I think the chef could do with a cooking lesson. This is the first reveiw I have ever felt the need to write.
