| The Bear is situated in the pleasant rural residential area of Tilehurst. Built in the 1920s to a common design, this traditional John Barras pub has a good locals following of regulars and a fair amount of passing trade. Trams used to turn close by but these have been replaced by buses, making us an easily accessible point on the way into Reading. Very popular for food we serve from a main menu and specials board with popular meal offers available during the week. We pride ourselves on this food which is value for money, something that is hard to beat in the area. Sport can be viewed on the four plasma screens around the bar and one big screen situated just off the bar. The mixed crowd covers the complete age spectrum with everyone made to feel at home in this relaxed, trouble free venue. Come along soon and try the Bear out for a meal or just a quality drink with friends. You will be given a sociable welcome by Hellen and Bill and there friendly team [Report for Removal] | hellen reading berkshire |
