| My wife and I visited this pub in April 2006. We received a warm welcome at the bar and the beer was good, if a little limited in choice (although the regular 'guest' Green King bitter is normally worth a try. The food was what I would describe as good old fashioned honest pub food. Reasonably priced, not trying to be too clever, very tasty and well presented. It was such a refreshing change to see a country pub serving country pub food - and not trying to hide the quality of the food by fancy cutlery and large oval white plates with chive sprinkled edges! The bar staff took time to engage in conversation and overall we were made to feel very welcome. We are both looking forward to our next visit.[Report for Removal] | D Curtis Didcot Oxfordshire |
