| Okay, I've been a regular in this pub for over 20 years now and I'm saddened at just how bad it has become. It used to be a really nice little local but unfortunately has now deteriorated in a big way. The food quite frankly is of a less than mediocre standard, the choice of beers is also not the greatest. The interior has now become very tatty and there always seems to be a change in landlord every 6 months, this may be due to Marstons Brewery owning the pub as they truly have shown themselves to be awful!!! The current users of this pub are a far cry from the good old days, now we are treated to foul mouthed, drunken gobshites on nearly every occasion and that includes both males and females, it truly is disgusting. If you are planning on taking loved ones or friends there for a meal or drink.....DON'T!!!! Complaints have been made, but to be honest I don't think the persons in charge care and Marstons certainly don't. This is one pub that needs to have everyone sacked and start all over again with people that actually give a damn about quality and standards as opposed to just taking money.[Report for Removal] | yearsofdecay Newbury Berkshire |
