| I was very disappointed with this pub. I went there last Sunday with a few of my female friends and when we tried to order coffee & breakfast at the bar we were asked for ID (This was at 11am!). When I asked why this was, the Manager said that it was the pub's rules as no persons underage were allowed on the premises. I showed him my ID and explained that as my friends were from London they hadn't brought theirs with them (we are all over 25 by the way!) but he still wouldn't let me order for them!!! I then pointed out that they had a "Family Area" and what happens if parents bring their kids in...are ID's asked for the children? He replied saying that no as they were with their parents. When I explained that I had eaten breakfast here before and not been asked for ID he stated that every Manager's rules were different but it is the law that he has to ask for ID!!! In the end we left without being allowed a cup of coffee!!!! Extremely pathetic and I will NEVER go there again.[Report for Removal] | nicola reading berkshire |
