| I have to say I have never been in such a unfriendly pub as the Lakeside Inn. We thought we would have a drink in there and get the kids a drink only to be shouted at by an old relic behind the bar. He shouted "NO KIDS ALLOWED NO KIDS ALLOWED" whilst jumping up and down.He could have tolded us politley that they are not a child frienly pub and don't value family time together. Looking around the pub (in my short time I was in there) it does look really rundown and dated a bit like there views really. Also it looked like it could do with a good cleaning as it was quite smelly!! So I wouldn't recommend a vist and before I forget it's not the smallest pub in britain- smallest minded in britain.[Report for Removal] | Sam Sturgess lancaster lancs |

| At first glance the pub is quite welcoming, the customers are usually older, the beer is well kept and the manager usually polite. However, there’s one, who doesn’t even work there, that has a very unpleasant aggressive attitude. A ‘friend’ of the place that hates virtually everyone that walks in there. The constant cheating at the quiz night gets on my nerves too, as it does with most of the customers. Trouble is, most of the customers are too scared of this harridan to complain. Also there is a tendency for backstabbing. Such a small community always suffers this: you don't go in one week and the knives are well and truly out. So much money on a refurb, yet the attitude remains the same. if your face doesn’t fit, or you aren’t related to a friend of a friend, or you aren’t a Z list celeb, or aren’t a displaced Scouser, you really are not welcome.
