| Has to be said, the manager has had a change in attitude recenlty. As one poster said, he was a complete buffoon, but learned that you lose customers that way. Not really defending him, just giving the pub a fair review. The chef came from 'The Forge', one of my fave eateries, so no complaints there. The staff are friendly and the entertainment v good. | i went there on saturday 27th. october 2007 with my friend who is a cabaret artist/singer and she was booked to play there and at the end of the night, according to her contract she received from her agent the manager was supposed to pay her at the end of the night. my friend angie has sung all over the country for 12 years and is excellent, always being asked back again, but midway through her second act the manager, who was dancing and enjoying himself, suddenly told her to pack up and leave as he said she was crap and wouldn't pay her although everybody enjoyed her singing and we had to call the police. he is 6 feet 9 inches tall and a real prat the brewery should throw him out before the pub gets any worse, and last week he paid another female singer £20 pounds short but she didn't check her money until she was outside, when she noticed and went back inside to tell him all he said was"TOUGH" what a right plonker can somebody tell me which brewery own thi pub so i can contact them please, regards, graham[Report for Removal] | graham howard liverpool merseyside |
