| Visited this pub on the 28/01/10 for a farewell meal as my friend was leaving to go away. We sent 3 dinners back and one starter....The starter was supposed to be sauteed mushrooms with garlic sauce...this consisted of 4 almost raw mushrooms and a garlic dip that had come from a jar and salad. (The salad was nice) Beef and Guiness Pie x2 as the beef was just fat and like rubber. Reordered saussage and mash...3 big saussages sent out and not one of them was cooked enough. Still pink with blood inside! So sent that back. At this point we didnt want to risk ordering anything else as we didnt want my friend to be ill travelling the next day. At first we thought we may have just had a bad run but then another table was complaining about food not being cooked etc etc. We was refunded for the meal that didnt get eaten and no other form of compensation.....i was so upset as i have been many times before and the food was really nice. The place changed hands in Sept 09 so i guess the new owners need to look at the food situation. I called the manager later that evening to make sure she was aware of the situation....she just talked at me and didnt let me explain what actually happened! The average price for a main meal was about £8.50 and £4.00 for a starter....such a shame the food was sooooo bad! NEVER AGAIN[Report for Removal] | wendy Chorley Lancashire |
