| The best pub I have ever been to. Different real ales and beers every week. The Queens has won CAMRA "pub of the year" a couple of times, plus several other awards. ALL the awards are on show. Very animal and child friendly as well. The landlady and staff are very friendly and helpful. However, the landlady will stand no smegheads! It is rare but, if anybody causes a disturbance, they are out and she usually has the full physical back up of the regulars if necessary! THAT makes the pub the top of the league. | A proper pub. Average of 5 real ales and 1 real cider on tap (plus fizzy lager, cider and "smooth" bitters if you prefer). CAMRA rated. In the Good Pub/Beer Guide for all eternity (there's a window covered in their stickers). Open fire all through the autumn and winter and there's compact but beautiful (flowers eveywhere) garden for the late spring and summer. Dog friendly (Jack has now been replaced).
