| I totally agree with the other report, when my family visit we always go out for a meal. My son arrived last night and suggested the Ferryboat, as we had been several times and it was always great food and service, but last night was terrible, the food was still very good but we thought that they had gone to kill the cow for the steak, as it took so long. the cutlery was disgusting and in fact I took them to the ladies and washed them before using them, also the tables were sticky and dirty, which I also cleaned. My family and I will NOT be going back until things improve and by the state of the place including the music and staff attitudes, it may well be a long time, I'd rather go to the pub on the island for a carvery for £3.50, at least its clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.[Report for Removal] | E. | since the new managers have taken over this pub/restaurant has deteriorated rapidly, being a regular i have witnessed people walking in looking round and walking out again as every table has been empty but filled with dirty glasses and plates. The music used to be gentle back ground music that you could enjoy as you were eating and chatting now it is loud banging house music from the barmaids collection, when asked if she could possibly turn it down she became very defensive. The food was good but your waiting time on average is 2 hours and that was for a ham sandwich, been going there for just over 3 years now but debating if it's actually worth the petrol anymore....[Report for Removal] | lesley frearson portsmouth hampshire |
