| A friend recommended this restaurant and have just sampled the food. Despite the previous reviewer having probles, my visit was very good nothing to complain about. | Our friends were over from Spain and we had heard good reviews about the pub so decided to go to your pub for a meal but i am sad to say we were all disappointed with the food the steak was tough and the chips were the same as you have at Macdonalds yuk!!! the the fish with rice was dry and a measly portion of fish. The pasta dish had the runniest garlic saMr Crossuce minus the garlic so all in all rubbish!!and to top it all it came to £77 pounds. | Introduced to the Miners yesterday - 19 July - by friend Steve Baggott. Good beer, fine service, lovely looking place, friendly atmosphere, mixed clientele. Great start. Then my crayfish brioche looked a picture, and tasted like a minor masterpiece - and no problem with prices. I rarely throw bouquets but this is definitely one of those rare occasions. | I ate at the Miner’s Arms today and it was the worst meal I have had in years!!!! We ordered steak and sent it back twice and then didn't eat it. Their rare steak looked like raw pork! This cut of meat was clearly not fresh – it appeared to have been frozen. Other members of the party had Red Snapper which was more like tough meat than fish. When I complained I was told by the owner that she had supervised the preparation of the meal and it all looked “satisfactory” to her and then walked away when I tried to protest. We had to pay £160 for the meal. This was meant to be my birthday celebration which ended in disaster. | We booked as a group of four and we all had a different selection of couses, all of which were the highest quality and presentation. The service was really good and the staff comunicated in a pleasent confident manner.
