| visited family in plymouth today and went for supper at the lyneham inn, My mother heard that it was under new management and the food had improved. My mother ate from the carvery and i ate from the evening specials. I couldnot fault the whole experience from start to finish, we were made to feel very welcome and were given great table service. The young waitress looked after our every need and the food was excellent. My mother asked for the recipe for the gravy as it was better than her own but the manager would not part with his secret. | thought it would be nice to treat my daughter for her 21st birthday by having a meal at the lyneham. We both had lasagne. It was very thin, no layers,no taste, you could hardly see the meat and there was no sauce it was just a mass of cheese on top. My son has a pasta dish which was basically pasta on a bed of tomata sauce! We wouldn't visit again and wouldn't reccommend it.Years ago i would've but after that it has put me off going. | This is a very nice place and used to serve excellent meals, but sadly the standard and quality of the food has decreased dramatically in recent months. Hopefully it will be restored soon to its former glory! [Report for Removal] | Linda plymouth devon |
