| Some of the worst food and service we have encountered, pub was scruffy the person taking the food order was miserable and just grunted answers to an questions we asked. The food arrived after One and half hours for our food to arrive even though it appeared no one else was eating (I wonder why) The food indescribable mush, obviously bought in ready meals, even so they were not heated properly, the time spent waitign must have been tawing time. When we complained the staff were rude and for all our trouble we up half the night with upset stomachs, wonderful holiday treat. The pub was recommended by the owner of the Hotel we staying at so can only guess they were related! | Thursaday 10th September looked a lovely cornish pub however should have beeb warned by empty car park went in thought ok but a closer inspection found a bit scrufy none of tables in lounge matched, musty smell and a hoover left in the corner. The next mistake asking for food we had to pay up front - should have rung alarm bells as 55 minutes later our food arrived - not intervening real apology except sorry for wait when eventually arrived. The fisherman's pie was absolutely disgusting he said took ages to cook but cold in middle ans as fish wasn't too sure when it returned inside bottom fish was hard and burnt. Ate a little bread thats all husbands gammon was passable just but it had been hanging around whilst mine was cooking so reheated shrivelled mushrooms yuk!! If you can't cook something please at least say so we could have had something different or gone elsewhere as it was we just drank our drinks and left couldn't be doing with words You knew your food was bad you never came in to see if everythings was ok stayed in public bar!!
