| We go regularly and the food is excellent, everything on the menu including the bread is home made. Steak cooked properly - Delicious deserts - very reasonably priced menu! Very welcoming and helpful staff - worth trying and Sunday roasts are excellent also with multiple choice of meats.[Report for Removal] | geoff langtoft lincs |

| Yeterday was the first time we have eaten at this pub since the present owners took over. Prior to this we were regular eaters here over a period of about 20 years. Suffice it to say that we will not be going again. We both started with pate which was OK but had only one slice of toast which was not sufficient and the plate was awash with the balsamic which covered the outer chopped lettuce leaves. We then had "under the crust" and haddock and chips with salad. The "salad" was the same soggy mess as on the starter - indeed as I left the starter "salad" it may well have been the same! The fish and chips were acceptable. The beef and ale casserole with topping was OK and plenty of it. The topping however was simply a burnt biscuit. The bill for this with one drink each was almost £30 which, although not bad by today's standards, was discracefully expensive for the meal we had. Rather pay more and enjoy the meal. Add to this the two people at the next table bellowing into their mobile phones as they discussed their business propositions and personal lives and you have the entire picture.[Report for Removal] | H&J Bourne Lincolnshire |
