| There were four of us for lunch on Sunday 26 June and we had prebooked, looking forward to sampling the food at The Cock, which is supposed to have a very good reputation. We all had three courses and we feel we had to write and express our disappointment at the food. Three of us had sea bass and the fish was overcooked and dry and so was the whole dish. | Visited this pub on a Sunday lunchtime.The three of us ( we had booked) were directed to a table by the entrance door by the coathanging area.I asked to move to a nearby table but was sniffily refused as they wanted to save the table for 4 people.Then about 10 minutes later a couple with a baby were given the same table.Realising the cock up we were then moved to table at the other end of the restuarant. Two of us ordered Roast Sirloin of beef,it arrived almost cold,greasy roast potato,s and the yorkshire pudding was like a squashed rubber ball.
