| we went for a meal at above pub on 07/03/09 celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and also took our 12yr old grandson. the waitresses are excellent!! our starters were fine [bread rolls cold] on a previous visit warm! MAIN MEAL my husband ordered scottish steak cooked in a crock £12.95. it was disgusting no flavour watery and tin carrots. Grandson ordered chicken wrapped in pancetta with rostti,chicken and rosti both overcooked. I therefore told waitress not happy with steak and she immediately removed it to kitchen and offered carvery, I gave my meal [ which was delicious] to my husband and had carvery The chef was extremely rude to me!! so by then i was very upset and could not enjoy meal . The owner spoke to me and offered to remove the cost of steak off bill[ wowee] but we felt he was not very professional, So needless to say our evening was ruined,[Report for Removal] | MRS MARGARET TROWER WISBECH CAMBS |
