| I have used this pub for midweek lunch with my walking group on 2 acassions and have found the food of a high standard and excellent value. The service is friendly and efficient and I praise the staff for serving a group of 20 with a variety of hot dishes all at the same time. There is a wide choice on offer. Today I sampled the Sunday carvery lunch and again found it excellent value. Although service was slow the food was hot and of good quality; nothing fancy but plain English roast meat and fresh vegetables, with all the trimmings all for £17.50 for 2 courses for 2 people.
