| To be honest, my experience of the Bridge was more like Mr Twain's than any of the others posted on here. I wonder if these positive reviews come from the owners? Like Mr Twain, my sunday dinner at the Bridge was tasteless and bland - like it had come out of the freezer. The staff wasn't as bad as Mr Twain says but then it's hardly demanding heating frozen veg up in a microwave. Thumbs down from me I'm afraid! (And I'm an Ipswich fan!)[Report for Removal] | Bernard Cray-Whotten ashington northumberland |

| I have just found your site and was surprised to read such a scathing report of The Bridge. I have visited the pub on several occasions and have found it very welcoming, good beer and have not had a bad meal any time I have eaten there. I wish the mangement continued success for the future and look forward to my next visit.[Report for Removal] | Ray Walding Beccles Suffolk |

| Having lived at The Bridge, Lenwade for well over a year while working in the area I find that review by Robert Twain unbelievable and so wrong. I question whether Norwich City Football Club had just lost the day before, possibly to Ipswich and he decided to take his fustration out this way !!!!!!!!! Anyway, how glad was I to discover The Bridge, a family run traditional public house, it became literally like a second home. I was made to feel very much at home, the rooms were very spacious, which meant I could "spread out" and if I wanted to stay up there and relax I could, rather than feel that the only place I could exist in was downstairs in the bar. The food was always excellent AND I KNOW FOR A FACT IT IS COOKED FRESH! The landlady, all her staff and her two children could not have treated any better, always there to help and make me feel at ease while working away from my home including during illness which struck. The gardens and lakes (including a stretch of the River Wensum)for the keen fishermen are fantastic and well kept offereing a really relaxing outdoor space to enjoy a drink or food and also a great party!!! If this were a more in depth survey would get definitely a 5* rating on all acoounts from me, accommodation, food, service, staff and friendliness.[Report for Removal] | Darren Game Bourne Lincs |

| I was very surprised when reading the poor review posted on 10/02/08 on this website. I was actually wondering how long ago the reviewer actually stopped for lunch at the Bridge Inn as my view on this matter could not be more different! My husband and i stopped for lunch last Sunday at the Bridge and were very pleasantly surprised with what we found. It was a warm sunny day and we decided to have our lunch in the pub's lovely gardens by the lake. It seemed like everyone had the same idea as all the tables outside were full of people eating, drinking and generally having a good time. We thought the carvery was a great idea - the meat was tender and tasty, the vegetables were fresh and many and the gravy was homemade - you could tell! We were too full to have a dessert but we'll definitely try one when we go there next time - hopefully soon![Report for Removal] | Anna Thorpe Norwich Norfolk |

| Situated on the Fakenham Road in Lenwade, the Bridge Inn might seem an ideal spot for passing trade. Driving past one Sunday its inoffensive exterior promised bland pub grub at the worse and so, feeling there was nothing to lose at a fiver a go we ventured in. A deserted dining room at Sunday lunch may have provided the first clue, starving of hunger though, we betrayed our instincts and persisted this doomed mission. The barman wore a tired woolly jumper that was decorated with a faded pattern and slops of old gravy. Through teeth that vamped cigarette decay he snarled, “you want food?” and directed us to the deserted dining room, we sat and watched tumble weed roll by as we waited to be served. On reflection it’s astonishing we stayed, but we did. The Sunday roast was a mixture of frozen roast potatoes, probably deep-fried, with decrepit cauliflower and carrots as limp as an old man’s finger. The Yorkshire pudding was frozen in the middle and the gravy looked like engine oil, thank goodness the mountains of salt hid the vile chemical taste! The vegetarian option was a lasagne that had spent the last five years at the bottom of a freezer, buried beneath multi packs of no-frills roast potatoes and frozen mash. We didn’t bother with the pudding – even though we paid for it. Maybe the Bride is under new management these days, what that means is the barman has changed his jumper.[Report for Removal] | robert twain norwich norfolk |
