| Had a lovely meal here today. At £3.50 the carvery meal was excellent value for money and the food was of very good quality. I recommend the dessert! The pub itself was clean and very inviting. | We visited the Village Inn hoping for a pleasant evening but were sorely disappointed. Long waits to be seated, incorrect information on food available, but worst of all the at least ten minute wait to be served at the bar only to discover that they had run ot of Adnams, Old Specled Hen, Leffe Lager, no spare barrels, all drink mixers - tonics, dry gingers, bitter lemons etc.and medium white wine, however, 4 bottles of ginger beer were available. A letter to the Manager over two weeks ago is still unanswered - not even an acknowledgement.
