| TO be honest I have always found pub grub in England more than a bit off putting as it sent centrally from the brewery. Therefore my expectations when I arrived in the Swan Inn on a Wednesday Night was not high. I was more that pleasantly surprised. The bar was clean, the staff very friendly, and there was a real feeling of the pub being a meeting point for the community. I ordered Fish and chips,,, it was excellent, fresh plaice in a light batter, home cut and cooked chips, salad and a large plate of fresh vegetables, all cooked to perfection. It realy was one of the best meals I’ve had in a while, and so unexpected. I did have the full 4 courses, all very good. But the fish was the best.
