| Loathesome Vile Management" This could be such a great pub, in a fantastic position. However there is a slim middle aged balding sullen faced manager running it (if you frequent it you'll know who i mean!) with the personality of a flea. It would be almost acceptable if he were just Mr Grumpy and boring, but he looks at everyone with complete contempt and disdain, he doesn't hide the fact that that he completely despises his customers!! It's amazing that in this the worst economic climate in living memory, and good pubs with friendly staff closing every day, this individual continues to act the way he does, and clearly gets away with it.[Report for Removal] | Mick Reilly Norwich Norfolk |

| It's pretty awful really, though the redeeming feature is friendly staff. Outside there is a covered area which at weekends and even during the week can be quite lively. The outside seating area is somewhat spoiled by it being very nearly part of a busy car park and road. It's very dark inside the restaurant part, and the choice of food and in particular wine is shockingly poor. The food could best be described as canteen, and is really rather too greasy to be pleasant. We made the bad mistake of using the bar on a weekend, and this became an extremely unpleasant experience for us. The locals in the bar area were intimidating and unwelcoming in the extreme. The language used to describe us quite audibly was openly abusive, and there was at times a feeling that we might be the target of some physical attention. This was made even less pleasant by the fact that the bar staff clearly knew what we'd be in for, but did nothing to intervene or keep the locals in the bar in order. This is a shame, because otherwise it would have been a nice place to be. Unfortunately, the experience is mixed. If this place is to improve, it needs to address its food quality and selection, its wine cellar, and in particular the behaviour in the bar.[Report for Removal] | Ben Haywards Heath West Sussex |

| It was like going back 20 years, the wine by the glass was liebfraumilch, cote du rhone and the like. The menu was the same. Come on this is 2007![Report for Removal] | I. Rodway Cottenham Cambs |
