| What a wonderful suprise. Possibly the best meal of the week whilst on a boat. Excllent value (3 courses for £9.95), plentiful amount of food and an amazing display of a Barn Owl hunting in the field opposite. The service was also excellent.[Report for Removal] | Angela Seddon Diseworth Leics. |

| We use this pub in Coltishall and find the food to be to our liking, adequate sized servings with a friendly reception. Being in a holiday area we have the choice of five establishments, in some of the others the portions are too large for our needs or of a higher price and a standard of cuisine too rich for our palates.[Report for Removal] | Geff Williams Coltishall Norfolk |

| MY WIFE AND I VISITED THE RISING SUN RESTAURANT FOR A SUNDAY AFTERNOON CARVERY LUNCHHAVING NOT VISITED FOR 2 YEARS.WE WERE VERY DISAPPOINTED AT THE VERY POOR STANDARD OF FOOD.THE A-LA-CARTE MENU WAS VERY LIMITED AND FAILED TO INCLUDE ANY FISH DISHES THAT THEY HAVE PREVIOUSLY SERVED VERY WELL.WE PLUMPED FOR THE CARVERY PASRTICULARLY AS THEY CLAIM TO TRY TO SOURCE THEIR FARE LOCALLY WHERE POSSIBLE,THEY OBVIOUSLY FAILED TO DO SO. THE TURKEY MUCH TO OUR DISGUST WAS A ROLLED MEAT SERVING AND NOT AS YOU WOULD EXPECT ANYWHERE IN NORFOLK A PROPER TURKEY BEING CARVED (AS AT THE FERRY INN-HORNING).THE QUALITY WAS NOT GOOD.THE ROAST POTATOES WERE SIMPLY BALLS OF GOOEY GREASE AND INEDIBLE,PEAS PASSED THE MUSTER,BUT GREEN BEANS WERE LUKEWARM AND MUSHY.ALTOGETHER A VERY POOR PRESENTATION.WE WILL NOT VISIT AGAING UNLESS THE SITE CHANGES HANDS.
