| I attended the Rock and Fountain for my 40th Birthday Party and I have to say it has to be one of the best meals I have tasted in a long time. | 17.10.08. Visited the Rock & Fountain Inn for a meal for a retirement do. Waited 10 minutes before being acknowledged at the bar. Shown to table and had to ask for menus. When got menus, very limited choice and very uninspiring. Starters were ok. The main course was appalling. One guest ordered liver and bacon - looked like something you wouldn't feed to your dog. Bacon was pure fat. Liver overcooked and fell to pieces, looking like mush in the bowl. Desserts were ok, but not exciting.
