| Pub was bought from Punch Taverns in April 2009 and is now a free house. Has been cleaned up inside and out, refurbishment is on going. A previous review I thought was unfair, the pub was dirty when managed by a holding company but the focus on the locals deemed unfriendly by the reviewer, was unfounded. The plough is a local pub, with a good local trade, mostly made up of local people. It is probably the cheapest pub with some of the best beers in the locality.
