| Going slowly downhill! Food choice limited and now comes packaged (frozen?) so little chance of chef flair, even if he was inclined! Vegetarian forget it. No more roaring fire to welcome you, more likely a very loud single male on his computer discussing his financial situation on his mobile phone. All the good intentions of the new landlord seemed to have faded like his customers. | No under 18s, good food, good beer, pleasant staff, friendly clientele - we thought we'd found the perfect pub!! Spoke to the landlord, praised him on the set up - he assured us "this is not a kid's pub". That was Monday.... Tuesday - push chairs in the pub!!! What!!! We left... I felt so strongly though, I went back... told the girl behind the bar how disappointed I was! Her response: "they are with staff, they are the exception".
