| We turned up at about 1pm. At 1.10pm, the carvery ran out of one of the three meats on offer. I had to call out to get someone to come out of the back to carve. The ratatouille was cold, completely tasteless and a mash of vegetables that had obviously been laying there for quite some time. The other vegetables were either swimming in water or cold or had been cooked for people with no teeth. Service was poor: we requested the Dessert Menu, which was brought immediately but then we neither saw any service staff again nor could we find anyone to take our order. The music was too loud and unpleasant. I pointed out these things to the young lady and manager but the apology was muted and unsatisfactory, with no attempt to put things right. | after walking in the door feeling unsure if i should seat myself or be seated i was finally lead to my table by a polite but obviously untrained young man, i was handed a menu which consisted of two bits of paper stuffed into an old menu folder,and was told there was no read kids menu to speak of but we could have nuggets, burger or fish fingers, me and my wife ordered 16oz steaks & my daughter had chicken nuggets, when it turned up half of my daughters chips were un cooked and the steak that me & my wife ordered was tasteless & under cooked (which we did not eat) after mentioning this to the young man who served us he said he would mention in to the chef, when we went to pay i mentiond it to the person behind the bar where i had to pay for the worst steak i have ever had the misfortune of tasting,i was told it was there was nothing thay could do to help.i then asked if there was a comments book that i could fill in, i was given i were blank & rude NO! needless to say i will never go back to this `restarant'? ever again.[Report for Removal] | Gary Upton kettering northamptonshire |

| Very nice little restaurant with a comfortable bar area. Been refurbished since July last year if memory serves me correctly. Nice carvery available each day and not too pricy either. Also found a really nice italian lager there i had never tried before but will again (And is one of the reasons i frequently go back when i can get the time). On the outskirts of town but this makes it unique and quieter than town centre pubs but still busy everytime i've been in there. Theres also a nice size garden at the rear with picnic tsbles/chairs, two sets of toilets one in bar and one in restaurant. Staff and owner are very nice and helpfull and it has a real warm atmoshphere. Decor out front had me feeling like i was away on holiday (was a warm day too!).
