| I went to this pub for lunch. I was served a tiny basic veg stirfry, barely the size of a starter for just under £10. My partner had steak with a yorkshire pudding and 2 small roasties, very dry as next to no gravy. The small bowl of veggies were nicely cooked but massively over salted. The desserts were fine. | We'd been recommended to try this place so we went, hungry, full of positive expectation. We found hardly any veggie options on the menu - this place is carny heaven, complete with fois gras (diseased duck or goose livers caused by hideously cruel practice of force feeding and banned by major supermarkets after public protest)!!! So we left and enjoyed a pleasant veggie meal elsewhere. However it's a lovely building in a nice setting, excellent pint of Harvest Pale Ale, well kept and just the right temperature.
