| Warm, cosy and welcoming on entry, the Elks Head menu was well ranging in price and variety. Service was excellent despite 3 parties having booked for the same time meal. The small staff showed their qualities by providing a very enjoyable repast, well presented without flamboyance. The one member of staff who did all the serving, the lady of the establishment, was attentive to requests, efficient and in the background.Bar area was active and also used for meals, all attended to by the one lady I believe. None of our party will have any hesitation in returning to this delightful establishment. Please don't all go, its ambience may be spoilt if crowded. Oh yes, a good selection of ales is available, didn't try one myself, driving, but our companion had 2 drinks so there cannot have been any problems there.[Report for Removal] | John Drew Ryton Tyne and Wear |
