| Stayed at the Keelman for one night B&B 2nd October, 2008. Selected from pubsulike web site as it combined real ale with B&B in an area of Newcastle that we wished to stay. I was pleased to find that no fewer than eight real ales were available on draught - products in the main of the Big Lamp Brewery. I can particularly recommend the Summer Daze excellent flavour and at 3.6% not likely to wipe out the evening. Staff very friendly and room in very good order (which was in an annex away from the main bar). The only slight reservation was over the evening meal which was slightly bland though still represented good value for money. The vegetarian breakfast was excellent.
