| We visit the White Swan regularly for Wednesday lunch. They offer a long list of specials at around £5.45 with 10% off for pensioners. The food style is traditional English with roasts and casseroles, occasional curries and always a veggie choice, all cooked freshly from fresh ingredients and seasonal produce. Some items sell out quickly so its a good idea to get there early for the best choice. We always find the meals are well cooked and usually ask for a small portion of vegetables so that we can clear the plate. One of our favourites when available is the imaginative fishcakes with different ingredients such as prawn or salmon. Service is really friendly and the dining room (conservatory style) is well lit warm and always buzzing. Recommended for lunch.[Report for Removal] | Rob Kerss Wallsend Tyne and Wear |

| had quite a few work meals at the white swan and usually they are very good. We like it because of the good vegetarian menu as we ahve a lot of veggies & vegans working with us.. Sadly on our last visit when we asked for the vegan options we just got a blank look form the staff and a couple of those in our party ended up with a rather poor salad.[Report for Removal] | steve james tyne & wear tyne & wear |

| The food at the White Swan is of the finest quality. For marks out of ten, I would give it 12. Pleasant, clean surroundings and within easy access of both Newcastle and Northumberland make this a very popular location and well worth a visit[Report for Removal] | Janice Blythe Cramlington Northumberland |
