| Friendly, country pub with nice beer garden and good pool room. Made the mistake of visiting the other pub in the village, the Shoulder of Mutton, which turned out to be very unfriendly. By the time we got back to the Old Crown, we had missed the cut-off time for food. However, a few minutes later, the landlord offered us a cut-down menu and saved the day with good food that hit the spot.
