| We booked a table for 10 people last week, to eat at The Angel in Morley. The last time I had been to the Angel was a couple of years ago and it was good, but this experience was terrible. We all arrived on time and was seated at the agreed 7:30pm time to be told that the carvery had run out of turkey, beef and gammon, so there was no meat left. The only thing left on offer was two types of curry. After eating the curry I was left in agony with stomach cramps. | The carvery at the Angel is great value for money, staff every helpful,friendly and a great atmosphere to enjoy a meal with friends and family,etc. However i recently stopped over at the Travelodge beside the Angel and to my horror noticed large rats forraging for food within the bin compound behind the kitchen. food hygiene wise this is bad news and the consequences are obvious. On closer inspection i noticed leftover food cigarette buts scattered on the ground within and spilling outwith the bin compound. | As a family of four (with two teenagers)we regularly eat here on Sundays as the carvery option is very reasonable and is always of a fantastic quality. We have always found the waitresses/waiters to be polite, helpful and very welcoming. | I wouldn't go back to this pub again. I had a sandwich from the carvery which was average. When the bill came I realised I had been charged an extra £1 for veg I hadn't had. When I questioned the waitress she said 'I saw your plate piled with veg'! I'm not sure whether this is standard practice to get an extra £1 out of every customer, howver the waitress conceded & took the £1 off my bill.
