| I too have to agree with the very happy customer. I have been a regular in The Swan for many years and since the new management have taken over the pub has become more of a hit with both the younger (not under age) and the older generation, they have brought the pub on a whole back in to the 21st century!! since the new management have taken over there has been some good changes to include live bands playing, themed nights, Karaoke (which to be honest had just the one downside and that was the Landladies daughter who murdered a version of Dark Lady by Cher one night) but apart from that little hitch the pubs come along way - The staff and Landlord/Lady are very friendly and pleasant and I think the Swan can only get better…so give yourselves a pat on the back guys!![Report for Removal] | K. | As a regular for many years, I have to agree with the ‘Very Happy Customer’. Since the new Landlady took over, The Swan has undergone a major refurbishment, which it was in desperate need of. It has now been transformed into a warm friendly pub, where children (and by this I do not mean the ‘alleged’ under-age drinkers…which I have yet to see!!) are catered for as much as the adults. The area behind the pub has also been renovated, the trees where the local 'youths' used to hang out has been pulled down and in it’s place there are nice tables and benches as well as a play area for the kids. I have always found both Management and Staff to be helpful and courteous and if there are problems in the village, then it is perfectly understandable that anyone found loitering about outside is asked to move on. | What Helen Morritt forgot to mention in her review is that she was asked to move on from the front of the premises because she had been sat outside the pub in her car with the local chavs for ages, which i find as she is a grown woman very very sad and very very worrying!!!!!!! The Swan has been under new management now for over 12 months now; the landlady is an absolutely wonderful lady who will do anything for you. She has put in alot of hard work and money back into the pub making it a very warm and friendly place that it is. Oh and yes she was reported to the police the only thing is no-one knew her name so thank you for placing your review we now have your name which has been passed on.[Report for Removal] | Very happy customer West Yorkshire West Yorkshire |
