| 28th of March me & my husband went to this pub for a meal. My husband ordered a 24oz T-bone steak which was off!! We told a waitress, who agreed. We had no apology. When we left and approached the bar where you pay, the landlady "Sue" told us the steak was perfectly fine. When I disagreed she said she had eaten it!! She told us to leave and not return. We have never come across such a poor establishment and the owners are a disgrace to the pub industry. We have reported them to the Council and we are telling everyone we know about the extremely poor standard of service and hygiene which we received. Oh and there is also a big dog walking around the restaurant! Everyone has their own opinion but we would seriously advise anyone not to visit this pub!!! | I went there with my parents and son because they had had a great pensioners special lunch.We ordered from the main menu this time and was very disappointed in the standard and value.They charged us full adult price for my son but clearly did not serve 4 full adults portions of veg and potatoes.Also the veg was poorly cooked, the sprouts was very under done and I like them firm, the new potatoe was raw! | Six of us had the set Sunday lunch at £9.00 per head. Good food (and lots of it), good service and tremendous value for money. | A good menu, pleasant atmosphere and better than average food was totally spoilt by shoddy restaurant management. Booked for 8:30pm, eventually seated at 10:00pm, had to rush our food down and had no time for dessert or coffee as taxi was pre-booked for 11:00pm. Management did not even have it in them to apologise or acknowledge some portion of blame when brought to their attention.
