| i found the garddfon by chance as i was out walking my dogs. It is a traditional pub on the banks of the menai strates. Although the lounge area is fairly snugg the walls are full of historical pictures and literiture of the area. When i went through to the bistro i was impressed by the apperence and politeness of the waiters and waitresses who where happy to show me to my table and collect my drinks from the bar. | This small pub has a well-deserved local reputation for good beer and consistently excellent food, well above the standard of ordinary pub food. Good friendly service and an interesting menu with a daily Specials board. Located down on the edge of the Menai Strait, it has interesting views and a fascinating selection of old photographs of the port and of ships that used to navigate the waters.
