Three Pigeons Inn has recently been taken over - the place has been renovated inside and out. The food is now excellent - simple food all fresh and sourced locally. The atmoshphere is warm and friendly and there are always at least 3 real ales on offer. The new owners have re-started the tradition of serving ale from the cellar in specislly made 2 and 3 pint jugs. Three Pigeons often has on special events - quiz nights, live music, food theme nights etc. The camp site is still a little under developed, however the new owners aim to improve facilities in early spring 2008. A somewhat isolated medium sized pub in a rural setting that you would have to make an effort to visit. Doesn't seem to do an awful lot of business and looks like it caters mainly for the locals, being somewhat suspicious of "outsiders". Food is reasonably priced though uninspiring and when we visited the three real ales where "off", it was explained to us that the air conditioning in the cellar was faulty but it remains something of a puzzle as to why they where happy to serve it. Underneath the landlords bluff exterior lurks an abusive bully who quickly becomes threatening if he decides your face doesn't fit. A pub I would not visit again. [Report for Removal] Ten Ben
