| Sadly this pub was sold off about 18 months ago and the person who purchased it has allowed it to become a disused shell. It isn't trading and it looks like there is no intention of it ever being a pub again. A couple recently offered a good price, in spite of its condition, to get it reopened and trading with proprietors accomodation over....BUT allegedly, because the owner wants planning consent for the adjacent piece of ground and didn't get it, he refused their offer for the pub itself, lumped the land back in and priced them out! Looks like this pub has had it along with so many others; yet there was a buyer/publican willing to give it another lease of life.
