| A really nice atmosphere, log fire in the winter & great menu. Good selection of local produce cooked from fresh with blackboard menus for both evening & lunchtimes. Book for the evenings they get busy an dont over book themselves which is what makes this place a cut above most restaurants in leicestershire. Informative, intresting website well worth a look. Definately not pub grub. Recomened by the AA an also The Good Pub Guide 5 yrs running for foo & wine. | What a find. Without doubt some of the best fresh food in the area, Fantastic outside eating area and great wine list. Mowsley is a beautiful, small village with a very well run establishment, more opperators should strive for the same high standards and perhaps they too would be as busy as the Staff of Life.
