| The owner and head chef here need to learn some customer service skills. We travelled 30 miles to go for a meal there (having visited on average 1-2 per year over the last 10 years) on Sunday 21st July, only to be told by the head chef that we couldn't park in their car park, as we had arrived 5 minutes before the pub opened. We stressed to him that we were actually intending to have a meal and he said that "We could take it or leave it" in a very aggressive manner. I subsequently telephoned the pub and spoke with the manager, who actually endorsed his head chef's behaviour. There was no offer of a sincere apology or an invitation back to have a free drink/money off the meal, for the terrible attitude that we'd experienced from one of his staff members.
