| Unlike the other reviewer we had a very enjoyable experience at the Outgate Inn.The staff were pleasant, the drinks were ok and the food was nice (especially the wife's penne pasta).They also had no problem with us bring our very large dog (irish wolfhound) into the pub. | Has never been one of my favourite Lake District pubs but, if in the area, it's not so bad that I won't pop in for food and a drink. However, on my last visit (March 2007) - with my wife and two friends, the manager/landlord shouted uneccesarily, across the pub, at one of our party when they moved a chair from an adjoining table. The food is nothing to rave about, the beer is distinctly average and the manager/landlord is a rude, pompous ass.[Report for Removal] | Mark Coventry Warwickshire |
