| I went to the pub restaurant yesterday evening with 2 friends only because there was a traffic jam on the way to another restaurant we were heading for so we did a detour and went into the Prince of Wales instead. My goodness, I am so glad we did. The food was superb, the staff were so friendly and polite, the atmosphere was really good and the pub is so interesting inside. For starters we had asparagus and cheese soup, I had garlic and pesto mushrooms on bread and black pudding tower with a leek and ham sauce. We all tasted each others dishes, and the black pudding dish was out of this world. I've never tasted anything like it. The mushroom dish I had was also excellent and the soup was yummy. For the main course we all had the grilled lamb rump with mustard mash with a spring vegetable and pearl barly stock. The helpings were huge, 2 lamb rumps per person and the mustard mash was delicious. The food I would class is as good as a Gordon Ramsey restaurant, which I have been to. This pub/restaurant is so good I will not hesitate to visit it again in the near future, although it is over an hour's drive from where I live.[Report for Removal] | A. Thompson Harrow Middlesex |
