| I intentionally waited two days before writing this review to see if maybe I could put it down to bad experience. I couldn't, so I am now writing this review. It started so well. It looks really nice and when we arrived late on Saturday night, we were able to get our own area to sit inside with no problem at all. First round ordered and the drinks were perfectly acceptable. We were told last orders were at 11.30pm, so at 11.20pm I went to the bar for our second round. The barman acknowledged me. I waited patiently. He served other people, pottered behind the bar and then at 11.35, he told me I'd missed last orders and he wouldn't serve me. In a busy crowded pub, I would accept this, but there were probably only thirty people in the whole pub and maybe three or four people ordering drinks (from three staff). Only friends of the owner were being served now, apparently. There was no call for last orders and I returned to our table without a round of drinks. It was at that point I saw the pub in a different light. It suddenly had the feel of a not particularly nice place to be. The initial class of the place had gone and was replaced by thuggish looking people covered in tattoos - presumably friends of the owner. I also noticed people smoking in the pub, which is surely not legal, even if they are friends of the owner?! We won't be going back in a hurry as the staff were rude and couldn't care less when I complained. I'd urge you to stay away from here.
