| This is a country pub just on the way to Spurn point and ideal to stop off at before or after a walk on the beach about 1/2 a mile away, or along the river bank just opposite the pub. Some even walk all the way around the spurn penisular then call in for a drink or food, the food is typical pub food mostly home made, Steaks, Mixed grills, Chilli, Lasagne, etc. with the addition of sandwiches or lighter snacks, be aware though they do stop serving food at 2.00 pm until 6.00pm which is unfortunate if you turn up at 3.00 because the nearest other eating place will be nearly 7 or 8 miles away. There is usually a couple of welcoming open fires in the pub were walkers can warm while having a drink, the place is very countryfied (if thats the right description) complete with some of the local characters to amuse you !!!.[Report for Removal] | Craig Stephenson Hull East Yorkshire |
