| Shockingly bad service we were well i cant call it a greeting but a lady who i can only presume was the landlady, took our drink order which was a warm can of coke out of the fridge no ice or lemon offered. We were then offered a table by the door which today it was freezing cold and raining so i asked if we could move somewhere else, which was she did so with much hassle and fuss. Then we were asked by our hungover waitress,(no smile,or menu on the table) if we wanted to order. I then had to ask what was on offer, we then sat for 20 minutes listening to the landlady discus with one of the locals about her health issues . Upon our order arriving the veg got to the table first then a few minutes later our meat and over cooked potatoes arrived,(no stuffing) The veg we way over cooked as was the beef I had mostly fatty and very chewy. The portion sizes were pathetically small. So after that we decided to skip desert and when the bill came I was somewhat shocked that I had been charger £3 for a pint of Carling I must be getting old because to me that seamed very expensive, it wasn't until i paid that i discovered just how much the lunch was, although not expensive it still would be nice to know how much i would pay for the meal.
