| In response to the libellous comments made by "Maurice" in August 2007: I am the current licensee and I have run this pub for the last 12 years. The Pheasant has an excellent reputation for cleanliness, good beer and good service. The dogs are friendly but NOT allowed in the bar area during trading hours. The only person who has ever felt intimidated by them was a young man who had his eye on the till - on trying to go behind the bar the dogs reacted loudly and he claimed he was "looking for the toilets" BTW, I am a qualified dog instructor specialising in GSDs, both in obedience and agility. Funny how "Maurice's" comments appeared at about the same time as a harrassment warning was issued to my alcoholic husband - who, incidentally, has been barred from the pub for bad behaviour including assault and persistent drink-driving. | Excellent pub if you like the "hair of the dog"! Landlord has 3 noisey and hairy alsatians which frightened me last time I was there - and with all that dog hair flying around it definitely will be the last time I visit.[Report for Removal] | Maurice chesham bucks |
