| We have been going to this pub for decades, and were sad to see it last week not only freezing (despite the fact there are two perfectly good open fires), but that the lunch menu consisted of, if ordered a bagette with a piece of grissle in it (steak allegedly) and a very mediocre ham and eggs for a tenner. The pub used to have a good ambiance, but the conviviality had gone out of it, and I have to say the young EU barmaids did little to improve the atmosphere, especially when they left the door wide open on a group of pensioners who had also been going there for decades even before us.
