| I first visited the Badgers a couple of months ago.The food was excellent, and a variety of choices to suit most palates. The bar staff were very friendly. Jules the owner was most welcoming, each time I have visited. I would thoroughly recommend this pub to my friends and I intend to visit every time I am in Petworth. | October 2009 Have just returned from family evening at Badgers. Most meals were fine - but expensive. However, avoid the beef casserole & dumplings, which was very disappointing - 50% fat and gristle. I did mention this but there was no apology.[Report for Removal] | Mary Pike Guildford Surrey |

| Disappointing in a word – good location and nice atmosphere but let down by indifferent staff and excessive prices. I don’t mind paying if the food is good but having a limp meanly portioned plate of reheated pasta dropped in front of me does not impress. It’s a shame because Badger’s could be great; the table staff need some training, they need to give customers some extras such as bread without charging and offer a little more in the way of courtesy and hospitality. | We had booked a table in the restaurant to celebrate our sons birthday. On our arrival I was shocked by the frosty and unfriendly manner of the "Basil Fawlty" lady at the bar. I assume by her superior air she was the owner. The other bar and waiting staff were reasonably pleasant. The food was lovely (although a tad overpriced) service in the restaurant could be better. Although the food was lovely we will not be going there again . Going out to eat etc. is all about the overall experience and being made to feel welcome which certainly did not happen for us at Badgers. [Report for Removal] | A Ross Horsham West Sussex |

| BIKERS NOT ALLOWED!!! If you ride a motorbike, don't even think about stopping at this pub - the landlady literally comes outside as soon as she sees a motorbike and chases you off the premises! I wouldn't even give her the pleasure of my money by stopping there again even if I'm in my car!
