| Great views of the lock but food and service has gone downhill in past 2 years. First meal was tired, cold, flavourless; the replacement (different) meal was equally bad. Attitude of staff when complained was indifferent, as if they are used to complaints! Would it kill them to bring cutlery out with the meals? Choice of beer good. | A fantastic pub with great views. My wife came here 10 years ago and hated it. She could not believe it was the same pub. Very busy when we arrived Saturday lunchtime but managed to sit outside. Food was excellent not only in quality and quantity but the time it took to arrive. (about 20 minutes)Staff very friendly and efficient. The decor andquality of th pub was superb and (she says) renovated to a very high standard. This has certainly restored my faith in the English country pub.
